Our strategy for some time has been dedicated to leading and enabling the transition to a less fossil-dependent energy system.

2025 set new records for clean energy applications across the three divisions. Internally, the target to reach net-zero emissions for scope 1 and 2 in 2027 solidified.

We look forward to taking the next step in our growth journey.

2025 in brief

2025 industry trends

Improving the essentials of life

The Food & Water Division operates in life-essential industries such as food production, medicine and water treatment. As the world population is expected to grow by 25 percent over the next 35 years — reaching 10 billion people — the demand for food, clean water, and medicine will continue to increase. Demand for medicine will grow even faster, as the global elderly population is set to more than double to 1.6 billion by 2060.

Powering change – and changing power

2025 reaffirmed that the energy transition remains one of the most dynamic and unpredictable shifts in modern history. Global energy demand continues to rise, driven primarily by electrification, yet progress is still significantly slower than 2050 net-zero scenarios, with regional disparities widening.

Sailing towards new horizons

The shipping industry is undergoing its most significant transformation in a century. Despite ongoing geopolitical uncertainty and trade disruptions, shipping’s transition continues to gather pace with growing adoption of new emissions reduction technologies and the need to renew an aging fleet.
