New names reflect renewed focus
The start of 2026 brought some changes for two of Alfa Laval’s three business divisions. They got new names.
From 1 January 2026, the former Marine Division is diving into being the Ocean Division. At the same time, the Food & Water Division became the Food & Pharma Division.
For both divisions, the name changes are part of a broader transformation, reflecting new focus areas, strengthened ambitions and growth strategies.
The Ocean Division’s new name reflects a business approach that encompasses the full marine ecosystem.
"Ocean Division reflects who we are today and where we are heading. It signals our commitment to supporting the ocean-based industries with solutions that drive efficiency, resilience, and long-term sustainability for our customers and society at large," says Martijn Bergink, President of the division. “At its core, this change is about clarity and credibility - ensuring our identity reflects the role we play in enabling a more sustainable ocean economy."
For Food & Pharma, the name change is part of its renewed strategic direction and evolving role.
"The new name, Food & Pharma Division, will help us better represent who we are and where we are headed," says Sammy Hulpiau, President of the division. “It will help position us as a trusted transition leader for pharma, while water remains in the division's DNA and continues to play a key role in our sustainability agenda."
The Energy Division will retain its current name.
