Alfa Laval awarded twice for sustainability impact

In October and November 2025, Alfa Laval received two prestigious sustainability awards for our ongoing commitment to pioneering cutting-edge solutions that enhance efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and support industries with their sustainability goals.

Decarbonizing industrial heating with Built to Zero and winning the Sustainability Actions Award 2025.

 Every year hundreds of experts and business leaders gather to be part of Compromiso RSE and Equipos & Talentos’ Sustainability Day; one of the most important awards in the field of corporate sustainability in Spain. This year, at the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid, Alfa Laval was awarded the Sustainability Actions 2025 Award thanks to our collaboration with Build to Zero.

This collaboration is a key step towards decarbonising the industrial heating industry with innovative energy storage technology.

A breakthrough in clean industrial heating

Alfa Laval has developed a single-pass clean steam generator, integrated into Build to Zero’s ThermalBox® energy storage solution. This means we can generate clean steam at medium pressures, instead of turning to fossil fuels in industrial heating processes.

This award recognizes our joint efforts to accelerate industrial decarbonization. At Alfa Laval, we believe that technological innovation must go hand in hand with sustainability and competitiveness. Data-Driven Impact and Continuous Improvement Award

On the 8^th of November 2025, Alfa Laval Türkiye was recognised by the Swedish Chambers of Commerce for delivering measurable environmental and economic benefits through data-driven strategies and continuous improvement.

Zero waste with Zero Liquid Discharge

Designed to recover up to 25 tonnes of water per hour for reuse onsite, Alfa Laval ZLD technology reduces freshwater consumption while cleaning up the wastewater stream and reducing environmental impact at the same time. This circular solution is prefect in regions where water scarcity is an issue, as was the case in this particular project.  It demonstrates how technology, partnership, and purpose-driven design can create impactful solutions for both industry and society.

This award is a proud moment for Alfa Laval Türkiye and for me personally. Our Zero Liquid Discharge project was about more than technology.
