Project Manager for Operations Development
Operations Development globally supports Product Group PVFT’s project and manufacturing technology developments of pumps, valves, installation material and tank equipment. To support the new organisation and meet new technical demands Operations Development are strengthening their team with a project manager with strong manufacturing engineering specialist experience.
The successful candidate will report to the Operations Development Manager, and will be located in Kolding, Denmark. He/she will work closely with 2 highly skilled production engineers, and coordinate a number of projects involving Operations, Business Unit, and Tool Technology in Lund. This role will also involve cooperation with our factories around the world. Projects covered by the role will include manufacturing technology, NPD/EPD and production engineering support for supply chain and quality projects run by the Product Group.
Your Key Tasks:
Plan and Run international and cross functional projects/programs with major impact on Alfa Laval’s manufacturing technology, organisation, structures and processes.
Innovates and develops new technologies/processes, in order to optimise manufacturing performance and increase customer value.
Proactively participate in the operation development management team meetings.
Ensure “state of the art” production processes and technology are developed and rolled out globally within Product Group.
We are looking for a candidate with an engineering MSc and a strong production engineering background ideally with experience in metal forming. Proven project management skills combined with networking and communications experience is required to support global projects with across functional partners. Past experience within Operations, Operations Development, R&D and working with Project Management is an advantage.
Your internal and external co-operation partners are both local and international, and you will therefore need to travel up to 30 days per year.
